The outdoors and its landscapes

Here, the outdoors opens its arms to you: mountains and verdant plains, rivers in spectacular gorges, orchards and rustic landscapes …

From an altitude of 300m up to 1700m, the Albanais is a land of varied landscapes, interspersed with gently curving mountains and splendid panoramas of the Alps.

Between the countryside and the mountains, you can come and draw on a new energy source.

In particular, you can explore some of the most remarkable natural attractions in Savoie Mont Blanc, the Lakes of Crosagny and Beaumont straddling the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie and shared by the villages of Albens, Saint-Félix and Bloye.

A natural and ornithological reserve classified a « Zone Natura 2000 »; the Lakes of Crosagny and Beaumont have a typical flora and throughout the year are home to numerous animal species. An observatory is available to walkers who would like to discover this natural heirloom.

The Albanais country is not short of landscapes and view points: valleys, forests, rivers, gorges, views of Mont-Blanc and the surrounding Alpine massifs (Aravis, Bauges…).

The Tourist Office will give you details of view points that can be reached on foot or by car (Semnoz, Montagne des Princes, Croix de Chavanne, the gorges and defile of the Val de Fier, the belvedere of la Chambotte, Clergeon, etc.).
